RECIPE: Banana pancakes

Banana pancakes are easy, delicious, healthy and packed with protein - perfect for a nutritious breakfast!


What do you need:

For 1-2 persons

  • 2 bananas
  • 1 egg
  • Oatmeal (the more oatmeal you use, the thicker the pancakes will be)
  • Oil for frying
  • Optional: fresh fruit, honey, cinnamon, peanut butter

Preparation method:

  1. Place the bananas and egg in a food processor or use a blender and blend until smooth.
  2. Add the oats and mix well again. Add oats until the pancakes have the desired texture.
  3. Heat some oil in a pan on the stove.
  4. Spoon or pour the mixture into the pan. Make sure the pancakes are about 5cm in size; if they are bigger, it may be difficult to flip them.
  5. When the bottom of the pancakes is golden brown, flip them over and cook the other side until it is also golden brown.
  6. Remove the pancakes from the pan and place them on a plate.
  7. Garnish with fresh fruit, honey, cinnamon and/or peanut butter if desired.

Note : If you don't have a mixer or food processor, you can also mash the banana and mix the egg through it. In that case, don't use oatmeal; the pancakes will be a bit thicker on their own.
