
RECIPE: Banana pancakes
Banana pancakes are easy, delicious, healthy and packed with protein - perfect for a nutritious breakfast!
What do you need:
For 1-2 persons
- 2 bananas
- 1 egg
- Oatmeal (the more oatmeal you use, the thicker the pancakes will be)
- Oil for frying
- Optional: fresh fruit, honey, cinnamon, peanut butter
Preparation method:
- Place the bananas and egg in a food processor or use a blender and blend until smooth.
- Add the oats and mix well again. Add oats until the pancakes have the desired texture.
- Heat some oil in a pan on the stove.
- Spoon or pour the mixture into the pan. Make sure the pancakes are about 5cm in size; if they are bigger, it may be difficult to flip them.
- When the bottom of the pancakes is golden brown, flip them over and cook the other side until it is also golden brown.
- Remove the pancakes from the pan and place them on a plate.
- Garnish with fresh fruit, honey, cinnamon and/or peanut butter if desired.
Note : If you don't have a mixer or food processor, you can also mash the banana and mix the egg through it. In that case, don't use oatmeal; the pancakes will be a bit thicker on their own.
